Darren Clarke and Lee Westwood have once again been called up to the European Royal Trophy Team. The two were part of the team which won the trophy in 2006, and have been an important part of the side for several years now. The pair are now set to feature once again next year at the tournament in Chonburi, Bangkok . The event will take place on January 11th-13th at the Amata Springs Country Club, with Seve Ballesteros set to captain the side for the third year in a row.
Europe won this year’s tournament comprehensively, beating Asia by 12½ points to 3½, a vast improvement on the previous year’s victory which was by a mere two point margin. Asia have named Naomichi Ozaki as their captain for the tournament which involves singles, foursomes and fourballs.
