Trio Named on Asian Royal Trophy Golf Team

Naomichi Ozaki has named three more golfers on his Asian team for next year’s Royal Trophy against Europe . Thai trio Thongchai Jaidee, Prayad Marksaeng and Chapchai Nirat are the latest golfers to be named on the Asian team, as the Asians look to recover from a thrashing in the last Royal Trophy.

Prayad Marksaeng and Chapchai Nirat are new to the tournament, though Thongchai Jaidee is making an appearance for the third successive year. Prayad Marksaeng has been in particularly good form of late, with a superb final day performance at this month’s Volvo Masters of Asia tournament providing him with the sixth title of his career . The trio join India’s Jeev Milkha Singh and Japanese duo Toru Taniguchi and Hideto Tanihara on the Asian team, which now has just two slots left.

The event takes place in Chon Buri, east of Bangkok, from January 11th to January 13th 2008.
