Tiger Woods’ association continues following the announcement that he is to participate in the Dubai Desert Classic for the third year in a row. Although Woods’ 2008 schedule remains incomplete, the World Number One has confirmed his participation in the event which takes place at the Emirates Golf Club between January 29th and February 3rd.
Last year’s event saw Woods finish third as he failed to defend his title from the previous year. Having first played in Dubai in 2001, Woods has adopted a fondness of the ambition evident in Dubai, having become involved in several golfing adventures within Dubai.
At the forefront of Woods’ involvement in Dubai is the course he is building in Dubailand. The Al Ruwaya course will be a par 72 7,800 yard course and is likely to appeal to the growing golf contingent within Dubai.
