More and More Golfers Heading to Turkey

Thu, 25 Oct 2007

According to a new report by KPMG Golf Advisory Services, Turkey is one of the world’s fastest growing golfing destinations . With popular destinations such as Bodrum and Antalya in its portfolio, Turkey is growing in popularity with every year. In its survey, KPMG’s golf branch surveyed over 120 tour operators and golf course architects, with the overall results showing Turkey as an increasingly likely destination for a golf holiday .

The report did, however, highlight the continued dominance of Spain, Portugal and North America as the top locations for a golf holiday. Whilst growth in the Iberian countries is expected to continue, the same countries could also find themselves threatened by the more rapid growth in countries such as Turkey, Dubai and South Africa as the fastest growing destinations. In addition, the Caribbean and Latin America are also growing as golfing destinations, though to a lesser extent than Turkey.
