Despite the fact Donald Trump is yet to gain planning permission for his £300m Trump International Golf Links Scotland Resort at the Menie Estate in Aberdeenshire, he has begun talks with the Aberdeen Foyer charity to provide staff for the complex.
The charity, which has already worked with the tourism, oil and construction industries, helps young people to get onto the job market, offering them training and eventually jobs.
Mr Trump has had to overcome a series of obstacles in his attempts to build the complex, which will include two championship golf courses, a 450-bedroom five star hotel, 950 holiday homes and 36 golf villas . Firstly, a fisherman who lives on the land Trump is proposing to build on has insisted he will not give up his 23 acres of land . In addition to this, Trump was angered by plans in April for a nearby offshore windfarm to be built, with Trump claiming the wind turbines would obscure the view of those staying at the hotel. However, Aberdeenshire Council are expected to give their final decision on the Trump application on 30 October.
