Golf Ryder Cup Captain Dismisses Rift Reports

European Ryder Cup captain Nick Faldo has dismissed media reports of a falling out between him and American counterpart Paul Azinger. Azinger had been quoted in the English media as reportedly saying ‘players from Faldo’s generation and mine really don’t want to have anything to do with Faldo’, sparking rumours of a rift between the pair.

The two had enjoyed a turbulent relationship during their playing days, vitalised by some close fought competitions. However, any rift that may have existed between the pair seemed forgotten during their time together for US broadcaster ABC. Faldo has denied any disagreement between the pair, existing ‘no beef’ exists between the two Ryder Cup captains.
