Tiger Woods has revealed that he is ahead of schedule in his recovery from reconstructive knee surgery, but does not know when he will be able to return to competitive golf . The world number one hasnt struck a golf ball since winning the US Open in June a tournament which he played through the pain barrier as he struggled with knee pain and a double stress fracture of his left tibia.
Woods revealed he is hoping to play in at least one warm up event before Aprils US Masters . Woods said, I don't know how it's going to respond with repeated practice days and long days of practice trying to get back, and ultimately playing my way into shape. That's obviously going to take a little bit of time.
Woods also revealed that he intends to come back stronger than ever. The golfer said, I've just been training and trying to get back, trying to get healthy enough to compete next year. Everything has been right on schedule. I couldn't have asked for anything more. The strength has come back better than ever. I'm stronger than I've ever been in my legs. The range of motion is good. The only difference is I've just got to watch that I don't overdo it so the leg doesn't swell.
