Bulgaria's Golf Industry Growing

Bulgaria's golf industry continues to grow with golf courses an increasing common sight across Bulgaria. Bulgaria received over five million foreign visitors last year, with the income generated from tourism accounting for nearly 16 per cent of the country's gross domestic product. Significant projects are ongoing as Bulgaria look to capitalise on an opportunity that could see lucrative business deals head their way.

Bulgaria's mild climate makes it a good destination for golf-hungry holiday makers and businessmen alike. New golf courses are constantly being built, including a new course designed by Gary Player. However, in order to make the most of the opportunities that may arise as a result of the expanding golf industry, those in the industry are pressing for improvements to the country's infrastructure.
