This year's Indian Masters are offering free entry for those spectators wishing to attend. The event is India's first European Tour event and organisers had priced tickets for a single round at Rs 2,000. However, following pressure from the media and the public to use the landmark opportunity to promote golf rather than to make money, organisers devised the free entry scheme.
Whilst this is India's first European Tour event, the Indian Open took place in its own right last year and proved a huge success, drawing large crowds. This year could prove even more hectic if the expected public interest materialises. The event is to be held at the Delhi Golf Club, unofficially lauded the busiest golf course in Asia.
