Following the death of Princess Galyani Vadhana, the Royal Trophy golf tournament has been indefinitely postponed. With the Thai nation in mourning, the Asian Tour made the announcement that the event, originally scheduled to begin on January 11th, would be postponed to allow for a 15 day mourning period for the late 84 year old.
The event which pits Asia against Europe will be rescheduled at a later date. Asia are yet to win the trophy, but will be hoping to make it third time lucky following Europes victories in the two Royal Trophy events so far.
Each side has announced their teams gradually, with the European team now known to include Lee Westwood, David Howell, Darren Clarke, Paul McGinley and Robert Karlsson.
