Donald Trumps lengthy battle to gain permission for his controversial Aberdeenshire golf resort should be concluded this summer, after it was announced that the planning inquiry would begin on June 10th. It is hoped that the inquiry could be completed by the beginning of June, bringing an end to the protracted saga which has seen environmentalists oppose the £1 billion development.
30 witnesses will reportedly give evidence at the inquiry, with Trumps legal team set to offer one witness and call up a further ten. Should Trump be granted permission, developers will begin work on the resort, which will include two world championship golf courses, a 450 bedroom five star hotel, 950 holiday homes and 36 villas .
There have been a number of setbacks for Trump, with conservationists have opposed his plans and locals have refused to sell.
