Following yet another hitch in his plans to build a £1 billion golf resort, Donald Trump is to meet with Ian Paisley Junior to discuss potential future proposals. Although Mr Trump has vowed to continue in his bid to build the luxury golf resort on the Balmedie Estate in Aberdeenshire, he is believed to be increasingly frustrated at the number of hurdles he has had to overcome.
The latest blockade comes in the form of a public inquiry into the environmental impact the development would have on its surroundings. Mr Trump is hoping to build two championship standard courses with a 450 room hotel, 950 properties and 500 homes .
The development has been highly controversial within Scotland, with claims that the golf resort would be hugely beneficial to both the Aberdeenshire and Scottish economies opposed by conservationists who feel the proposals would significantly harm the environment.
