The Scottish Village of Loch Lloyd are to unveil plans for an expansion of its golf and residential facilities on Thursday. Professional golfer Tom Watson is to redesign the existing 18 holes whilst adding a further nine holes, which will replace the sixth to the fourteenth hole on the revamped course. Watson will also improve the golf courses front nine holes.
Off the course, a new clubhouse is to be installed, with its own practice facility, in addition to 22 new residential lots which are to be opened up.
A spokesperson for FiveStar Lifestyle Communities, the owner of the Village of Loch Lloyd, revealed that the upgrades should be completed by 2010. Spokesperson Chuck Campbell refused to comment on the cost of the project.
FiveStar Lifestyle Communities, the owners of the National Golf Club of Kansas City, acquired the Village of Loch Lloyd since 2002.
